I've heard about grunion runs but never really learned about them until I recent article posted on Ventura County Star.
"This is the best time of year for Ventura County residents to witness something only seen on the California coast: grunion runs, when thousands of shimmering, silvery fish flop onto beaches in a nocturnal mating dance."
We've gone twice to search for them but no such luck. This particular picture was taken at 2:15 a.m. One thing about Noa, she's always up an adventure!
